Greensboro College Pride

Steve Johnson is one of the most accomplished coaches in Greensboro College history. A member of the Greensboro College class of 1980, Johnson has been the head coach of three different programs (men's golf, women's golf, and women's basketball) during his career. During his tenure as women's basketball coach from 1992-1997, Johnson amassed 90 wins one DIAC Coach of the Year honor, coached 7 All-Conference players, and led the program to a DIAC Tournament championship and NCAA Tournament berth in 1996-1997. 

Johnson had two stints leading the men's golf program. Johnson was named DIAC Co-Coach of the Year in 1991 while being named Coach of the Year in 1992. The 1992 season saw Greensboro capture the DIAC Championship as well, earning the second consecutive season the team, led by Johnson, made the NCAA Tournament.
