Kevin Beard goes down as one of the most accomplished players in men's basketball history, earning multiple individual accolades and team success. Beard was named First Team All-Conference in 1992-93, and then in 1993-94 was also named Second Team All-Conference, DIAC All-Tournament Team, and DIAC Tournament MVP as the Pride took home the conference crown. In 1994-95, Beard was again named DIAC First Team All-Conference along with being selected to the NABC District First Team and again taking home DIAC Tournament MVP honors.
Beard helped lead Greensboro to two NCAA Tournament appearances in his career in 1993-94 and 1994-95 by winning the DIAC Conference Tournament.Â
