Greensboro College Pride

Led by head coach Jason Tuggle, the 2008-09 women's basketball team went 27-3 and 18-0 in conference play in route to a USA South Conference regular season championship and an NCAA Tournament First Round victory over Mississippi College. The team scored over 77 points per-game while giving up just 56 points per-game as part of their dominant season. Greensboro College Hall of Famers Dione Eccles and Danielle Duncan helped lead the way, as Eccles earned Fourth Team All-American honors, while also taking home Second Team All-Region, NCCSIA First Team All-State, First Team All-Conference, and USA South Player of the Year recognition.

The team three others named All-Conference, including Duncan, who was named First Team All-Conference and was named to the All-Tournament Team. Kim Enoch took home Second Team All-Conference and was also named to the USA South All-Tournament Team, while Nikki Wilborn was Honorable Mention All-Conference. Tuggle was named USA South Coach of the Year.
