Jessica Upchurch Nelson starred for the women's soccer program for two seasons from 2002-2003. Despite her career being cut short due to injury, Upchurch Nelson let her mark on the program with two magnificent seasons. In 2002, she was named DIAC Tournament MVP and All-Tournament Team, helping lead the program to a conference title. In 2003, she took home Second Team All-American honors while also being named First Team All-Region, Second Team All-Conference, and being named to the USA South All-Tournament Team, while leading the Pride to another conference championship.
