The USA South Conference announced their weekly basketball honors on Monday, and
Kensly Stewart was named USA South Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week for her performances a week ago. This is Stewart's second Rookie of the Week this season.
In three games, Stewart averaged 18.7 points per game, 2.3 steals, and 2.0 rebounds as Greensboro went 2-1 with wins against Warren Wilson and Meredith.
In the win over Meredith, Stewart scored a career-high 28 points on 10-20 shooting from the floor. She had 6 three-pointers on the afternoon along with 2 rebounds and 2 steals. Her 50% shooting tied her career high. Stewart currently leads the team in scoring at 14.3 points per game.
