Rocky Mount, NC - Greensboro College Women's Basketball (2-8, 0-4) took on NC Wesleyan (5-7, 3-3) on Tuesday afternoon and fell 91-67.
The high scorer for the Pride was freshman Kinsly Stewart, who scored 17 points. She also had 3 steals and 3 rebounds. The 17 point outing was her seventh double-digit scoring effort of the season.
Greensboro started well, taking a 15-14 lead after the first quarter. They hit two three-pointers in the period and went 3-4 from the free throw line. The Bishops out-scored the Pride 25-16 in the second quarter and took a 39-31 lead into the half.Â
NC Wesleyan would have a huge offensive third quarter, scoring 34 points on 11-22 shooting from the floor. They also hit 11 free throws in the the third period alone. That run gave the Bishops a comfortable 73-51 lead going into the fourth quarter. Greensboro played well in the final period, scoring 16 points, but it would fall well short of any comeback as NC Wesleyan secured the victory.

Kamdyn Lakey scored 7 points while
Tatum Bradford scored 6.
Carrie Carr and
Jenx Ervin each had 7 rebounds, while
Briana Ruano had 3 steals.
Notes:
- Greensboro has lost their last five match-ups against NC Wesleyan, with their last win coming on 2/25/2023.
- The Pride went 5-32 from long range in the game and 16-29 from the free throw line.
- The Bishops had 26 turnovers on the afternoon, as Greensboro scored 16 points off those turnovers.
