Brevard, NC - Greensboro Women's Basketball (2-6, 0-3) traveled to Brevard College (7-3, 2-1) on Tuesday night and fell 90-58.
It was a close contest most of the first half as Greensboro forced double-digit turnovers on the defensive end. They held the Tornados to 39% shooting from the floor in the half and also hit 4 three-pointers of their own.
Unfortunately the offense went cold in the second half, and Brevard was able to extend their lead and cruise to victory. The Pride defense had 21 steals on the night, but the offense had 20 turnovers. The Tornados also scored 23 second chance points, out-rebounding the Pride 80-44 for the game.
The leading scorer for Greensboro was Kinsly Stewart, who had 11 points with 5 steals.
Kayla Reynolds scored 9 points on 3 three-point shots, while
Briana Ruano had 8 points and 6 rebounds.
The Pride will play again on Thursday when they host Warren Wilson. Tip-off is set for 5:30 pm.
