Men's Soccer Earns United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award

Kansas City, MO - The United Soccer Coaches Association announced their 2025-26 Team Academic Award recipients on Friday, and Greensboro College Men's Soccer was recognized with their 3.14 team GPA.

A total of 326 NCAA Division I, II, and III men's soccer programs earned recognition nationwide. Head coach Jacob Weinshank said of the team's work in the classroom, "The Team Academic Award signifies a significant step in the development of this team. It speaks to the effort and character of this group of student-athletes and the standard that they set for everything they do. I am proud of their work in the classroom and their dedication to setting themselves up for success when they graduate."

The Team Academic Award further solidifies the turnaround for the men's soccer program, as they also compiled an 8-6-4 record a season ago and hosted the first round of the conference tournament.

The 2026 season begins September 1 with a season-opening home match against Bluefield University at 6:00 pm.
