Greensboro, NC - The Greensboro College Men's Soccer team (7-5-4, 2-3-1) hosted NC Wesleyan (7-8-1, 4-1-1) on Saturday and fell 2-1.
It was a tight battle all game long by both sides. The game remained scoreless throughout the first half despite both teams putting pressure on each other's defense. Late in the second half,
Gustav Ohman broke the scoreless tie with a breakaway goal in the 74th minute to give Greensboro a 1-0 lead.
Unfortunately, Greensboro couldn't hold off the attack from the Bishops, as eight minutes later they would tie the game 1-1. Just two minutes after that, the Bishops broke the 1-1 tie with just over five minutes remaining to take a 2-1 advantage.
Greensboro made a hard charge at the end, but couldn't score the equalizer. With the loss, the team's postseason hopes come down to their final game of the season next week. Greensboro hosts William Peace on Wednesday at 7:00 pm.
