Greensboro, NC - The USA South Conference released their 2026 volleyball preseason poll on Thursday, and Greensboro College volleyball topped the preseason poll for the first time since 2005. 

Greensboro comes in off a historic 2025 that saw them go 28-3 and 18-0 in conference play, winning the regular season conference championship for the first time since 2005. The team reached the USA South Championship match for the first time since 2023. The squad returns 12 players from a year ago, including USA South Player of the Year Payton Shiflet and USA South Libero of the Year Morgan Mayfield.

Rounding out the preseason poll is Southern Virginia, Meredith, Salem, Methodist, Pfeiffer, William Peace, Brevard, NC Wesleyan, and Mary Baldwin.
