The Greensboro College women's soccer season gets underway on September 1 when they travel to Eastern Mennonite to open the 2026 campaign. A lot of excitement surrounds the team, as the program returns 17 players from last year's team and brings in a talented freshman class.

The Pride come off an 11-7-2 season and a trip to the USA South Conference Semifinals. Head coach Mike Johnston returns for his fifth season leading the program. The coaching staff also includes former men's soccer assistant coach, Tim McGuire, and Shannon McGovern.

Leading goal scorer Abby Lush returns along with a slew of impact players from a year ago. First Team All-Conference players Shae Brennan and Kendall Kamm are back, along with USA South Honorable Mention All-Conference selections Camryn Marcondes and Claire Friedlander.

Johnston says of this year's squad, "Our preseason has been ultra competitive, our freshman class is acclimating super well, and our cohesivness has been fantastic. We will learn quite a bit about ourselves in the coming weeks and are excited to get rolling on Tuesday."

Greensboro begins the year with a road contest at Eastern Mennonite on September 1, a rematch of last year's season opener in which the Pride earned a 3-0 victory. Conference play begins September 19 with a road trip to NC Wesleyan, while senior day takes place on September 26 against Salem.
