Greensboro, NC - Greensboro College Women's Soccer has released their 2026 schedule as the team looks to continue to build off four straight USA South Conference Tournament Semifinals appearances.
The Pride went 11-7-2 last season and finished 5-4 in conference play. Head coach
Mike Johnston returns for his fifth season leading the program, as the team has had three straight seasons of at least 10 wins.
The 2026 season begins with a road trip to Eastern Mennonite on September 1, a rematch from last season that saw Greensboro earn a 3-0 win. They then host Warren Wilson on September 6 for their home opener against the Owls. The Pride stay home for game number three with a match with Averett University on September 9.
After two games in Salem, VA against Roanoke College and Farmingdale State College September 12 and 13, the annual clash with cross-town rival Guilford College takes place on the campus of Guilford College September 16 at 6:00 pm.
Conference play then begins on September 19, as the Pride travel to NC Wesleyan. They host Pfeiffer for their first conference home game on September 23. Salem College comes to Pride Field on September 26, followed by a non-conference match with Regent at home to finish the month of September.
Three straight conference games begin October, as the team plays defending conference champions Brevard and then will travel to Methodist before hosting Southern Virginia. The team travels to Charlotte on October 14 to play Johnson & Wales, followed by a conference road trip to Mary Baldwin.Â
The final non-conference game comes against Division II opponent, Shaw, at home on Octboer 21. The final two contests are against Meredith and William Peace before the USA South Conference Tournament begins.
Coach Johnston says of the 2026 schedule, "We're excited about our 2026 slate and the opportunities it presents for our program. Our non-conference schedule will challenge us early and help prepare us for USA South Conference play. This season also features several high-level midweek non-conference matchups in October that will help keep our standard and intensity consistent throughout the year."
