The USA South Conference announced their weekly awards on Monday, and freshman Alyssa Lane was chosen as the women's soccer Defender of the Week.

Lane, a freshman from Morrisville, NC, earnred two shutouts last week in two wins. In a 3-0 win over Shaw, Lane had 1 save in all 90 minutes of action. Against conference foe Meredith, Lane earned 6 saves to help the Pride move up to the #3 seed in the USA South standings. 

This year Lane has totaled 49 saves with an 8-4-5 record. She has a goals allowed average of 0.75, good enough for second in the USA South, along with an 80% save percentage.
