Greensboro, NC - Greensboro College Men's Lacrosse head coach
Nate Bates has resigned from his position after five seasons leading the program.
Bates was named the seventh head coach in Greensboro Men's Lacrosse history in the summer of 2021, and has amassed 29 wins at Greensboro. Bates led the Pride to four USA South Conference Tournament appearances in his tenure.
In 2026, the team won 12 games, tying a program record that was set back in 1995. It was the second double-digit win season under Bates, as the team won 11 games and reached the conference tournament semifinals in 2022.
Athletic Director,
Jerry Fisk, says of Bates, "We thank coach Bates for his time leading the men's lacrosse program and his service to Greensboro College. We wish him and his family the best in the future. We are excited about the direction and future of the men's lacrosse program and will begin a search for the next coach of the program to lead our student-athletes."
