Greensboro, NC- With the fall slate of the 2025-26 athletics calendar coming to a close, Kelci Brooks (volleyball) and Frank Walker (football) snagged this week's Greensboro College Athletes of the Week.

As the volleyball team advanced to the USA South Conference Championship match, Brooks was a model of consistency both on offense and defense. Against Brevard in the first round, Brooks had six kills and two digs as Greensboro won handily. Against Meredith in the semi-final round, she upped her game to the tune of 17 kills, 14 digs, and two assisted blocks as the Pride upended the Avenging Angels in three sets. In the Championship match, Brooks continued to shine, registering 15 kills and another 14 digs for the Pride, who fell to Southern Virginia.

For the year, Brooks finished her senior campaign with 247 kills, the second highest total of her career, with a career-best .236 hit percentage. 

Walker wrapped up his sophomore year with 10 tackles and 2.5 sacks against Methodist, both season-bests for the defensive lineman. The 2.5 sacks against the Monarchs was the fifth-best single-game total in program history. He finished the year with 50 tackles and 7.0 sacks, doubling his sack total from his freshman campaign. Walker now owns 10.5 career sacks over two seasons, already fifth on the all-time list, a half-sack behind David Baity (2001-04). The career leader Nathan Wooten (2006-09) has 17.0 sacks. His 7.0 sacks this year was tied for the third-highest single-season total in the football program's history.
