The USA South Athletic Conference announced their weekly player of the week awards on Monday, and Greensboro Women's Soccer goalie Griffin Horn earned Defender of the Week while volleyball's Morgan Mayfield earned Defensive Player of the Week.

For Horn, it is her first Defender of the Week honor of the season. The freshman had 6 saves in a win over Mary Baldwin on Tuesday, and gave up no goals in 45:00 in a win against William Peace. Horn has allowed just 1 goal in 6 games played this season with 14 saves.

Mayfield takes home volleyball Defensive Player of the Week after a 29 dig performance against Southern Virginia and a 24 dig match against NC Wesleyan. Mayfield leads the conference with 341 digs and 6.31 digs/set. In conference games this season, Mayfield is averaging 7.03 digs/set and has 218 digs.
