Greensboro, NC - It was a big day for Greensboro College Baseball on Thursday, as Trevor Testerman was named D3baseball.com Region 6 Player of the Year and First Team All-Region, while Evan Sykes was also named D3baseball.com First Team All-Region. The pair were also named ABCA/Rawlings First Team All-Region.

This is the fist time since 2006 that the program has had two First Team All-Region selections in the same year, and just the second time in history it has happened. 

Testerman continues to rack up the awards, as he was named USA South Player of the Year and First Team All-Conference earlier this month. Testerman was one of the best players in all of Division III in 2026, totaling 16 home runs, 62 RBI, 12 doubles, 4 triples, and a .475 batting average. He was a D3baseball.com Team of the Week honoree twice along with being named NCBWA National Hitter of the Week on March 26.

Sykes capped off his historic Greensboro College career with a stellar 2026. Sykes hit .412 with 12 home runs, 46 RBI, 23 doubles, and a .794 slugging percentage. Sykes broke multiple career program records, including home runs, doubles, RBI, hits, and games played. Sykes surpassed the 200-career hit mark in the final regular season series of the season.

Head coach Chris Fenisey says of the team's two All-Region selections, "Both Evan and Trevor have earned every accolade that they've received this year. It was an honor to watch them go about their business every day and could not be more proud!"
