Testerman Player of the Year, Fenisey Coach of the Year in USA South

The USA South Conference announced their all-conference awards on Wednesday, and Trevor Testerman was named USA South Baseball Player of the Year while head coach Chris Fenisey was named USA South Baseball Coach of the Year.

Testerman is just the third player in program history to be named Player of the Year. Testerman dominated the conference all year long, leading the league in batting average, home runs, RBI, slugging, on-base percentage, and tied in triples. In conference play, Testerman hit a whopping .548 with 14 home runs and 49 RBI.

Testerman broke multiple single-season program records, including home runs, batting average, RBI, and slugging. He also broke the USA South record for home runs in a game with four on March 21 against Pfeiffer.

Fenisey is just the second different coach to win Coach of the Year in program history, joining Scott Rash (twice) as the only two coaches to do so. Fenisey led the program to their first regular season conference title in program history in 2026, while also surpassing the 100-win mark in his career. Fenisey currently holds the highest win percentage for a head coach in the program's history.

Fenisey said on winning Coach of the Year, "It is an honor to be named Coach of the Year in the USA South. It is a testament to how great our coaching staff is and how special our players are. This group of coaches and players work extremely hard and I'm beyond proud of what they've accomplished."

The team will host the first round of the conference tournament beginning Thursday at Ted Leonard Park as they look for their second conference tournament championship in program history.
