Greensboro, NC - Greensboro College Baseball clinched the regular season USA South championship on Friday after two wins over conference foe Brevard at Ted Leonard Park.
Greensboro too game one 5-2 behind a strong pitching performance from
Isaiah Faudoa. Faudoa went 8.0 innings and gave up just two runs and struck out five. His record now stands at 4-3 on the season.Â
The offense had 12 hits on the day, with freshman
Tanner Jackson having three of them.Â
In game two the offense scored 20 runs in a 20-2 blowout win. The team had 22 hits on the game including three triples and three home runs.
Evan Sykes collected his 200th career hit with a home run in the fourth inning.
Sykes had a total of four RBI while
Alex Vazquez drove home three.
Brayden Sands also had three RBI and an inside the park home run.
Christian Glaze went 3-3 out of the number nine spot in the order.
