Box Score Greensboro, NC - Greensboro College Baseball (14-11, 6-3) cruised to a 10-0 victory in seven innings against William Peace (9-15, 3-6), to win their third straight USA South series.
Isaiah Faudoa went the distance in this one, going 7 innings, allowing 4 hits and no runs, while striking out 5. This is the second time Faudoa has thrown 7 innings this season (both outings have resulted in wins).
Greensboro opened the scoring in the first inning with a
Trevor Testerman single. Testerman would come through again with a two-run home run in the third inning to give Greensboro a 3-0 lead.
Destin Matthews drove in a run to cap off a 4-run third inning for Greensboro.
Greensboro would continue to pile on runs in the fourth inning following a 2 RBI single from
Tyler Alverio.
Alex Vazquez would drive in two with a double in the fifth inning to give Greensboro a 10-0 lead.
Greensboro would end the day with 15 hits. All nine Greensboro hitters recorded at least one hit on the day, with
Evan Sykes (4-for-5),
Trevor Testerman (2-for-4),
Alex Vazquez (2-for-5), and
Destin Matthews (2-for-4) collecting multiple hits.
