The 2026 women's lacrosse season is just around the corner, and the Greensboro College Women's Lacrosse team has released their 2026 schedule.
The schedule has a variety of non-conference opponents, from a visit by Pacific University (Oregon) coming to Pride Field to the annual cross-town rivalry with Guilford, the 2026 season looks to be an exciting blend of new opponents and multiple rivalry games. The team will play schools from seven different states throughout the year.
The season begins on February 12 with a Division II opponent coming to Pride Field in Lees-McRae. The team then travels to Sweet Briar before coming back home for a battle against Warren Wilson on February 25.
From February 25 to March 14, the team plays six straight home games, with opponents including the Owls of Warren Wilson, Truett McConnell, West Virginia Wesleyan, Methodist, Pitt Bradford, and Brevard.
The Pride head to Pfeiffer on March 21 before coming home for two more games against Pacific (March 25) and Piedmont (March 28). On March 31, Greensboro will travel across town to play Guilford for their annual meeting with the Quakers.
The final month of the season sees Greensboro head to Alabama to play Huntingdon on April 3 and then Southern Virginia on April 7. After a road trip to NC Wesleyan, the Pride will host Senior Day on April 18 against William Peace. They will finish the season on April 21 with a road match-up against Meredith College.
Head coach
Mallory Zelawski says regarding the 2026 schedule, "We're excited for this upcoming spring schedule. We've got a good balance of teams for our non-conference schedule that will prepare us for our conference games. We have teams coming from Oregon and Pennsylvania that will provide a new set of opponents that we have not seen before. It's exciting to host teams who are outside of our typical geographical footprint. We are looking forward to our USA South Conference games to be competitive and a good test for the team."Â
