Women's Lacrosse Earns Overtime Win at NC Wesleyan 10-9

Rocky Mount, NC - Greensboro College Women's Lacrosse (3-12, 2-6) scored an overtime win at NC Wesleyan (2-9, 1-7) on Saturday thanks to a Keira Fenyo game-winner with just over 3:00 left in the overtime period.

The Pride got out to a 3-2 lead after the first quarter. The Bishops' defense played strong in the second, holding Greensboro to just 1 goal while scoring 2 of their own.

Each team scored 1 goal in the third. Late in the fourth, Greensboro held a 9-8 lead with less than a minute to go. However, the Bishops scored with 51 seconds left to force overtime.

In overtime, it was Fenyo who played hero, scoring off an assist by Syndey Patton to give the Pride a key USA South Conference win. The win puts Greensboro on the cusp of clinching a spot in the USA South Conference Tournament.

Brynly ManWaring scored 3 goals for Greensboro while Patton scored 2. KP Pageot also scored while collecting 3 ground balls. Fenyo and Patton each had 4 caused turnovers. Carly Walton and Aaliyah Akers combined for 4 saves.
