Templeton and Hermansson Named Athletes of the Week

GREENSBORO, NC- Volleyball's Jaylyn Templeton and Kalley Hermansson from men's soccer have been named this week's Greensboro College Athletes of the Week.

Templeton combined for 46 assists in two matches as Greensboro swept Brevard and Mary Baldwin last week. She notched 28 assists, three kills, three digs, and an ace against Brevard, before following it up with 18 assists, four digs, two kills and an ace against Mary Baldwin. In the process, she became the only player in Greensboro College history to record 3,000 career assists and 1,000 career digs, and she sits just 21 assists away from tying Leslie Smith for second all-time at Greensboro College.

Volleyball continues USA South play Wednesday at home against Salem before traveling to Misenheimer Saturday for a tri-match against conference opponent Pfeiffer and a non-conference bout with Johnson & Wales.

Hermansson continued a stellar freshman campaign with Greensboro's lone goal as mn's soccer fell to Ferrum in a non-conference match up last week. His penalty kick goal tied the match at one before Ferrum regained the lead for good. The goal ties him for the team lead with five goals this season, and his 13 points are also tied for the team lead. His five goals are the most by a Pride freshman since Craig Thomas in 2021.

Soccer takes on Brevard on Tuesday before a non-conference match up against Warren Wilson on Saturday.

HONORABLE MENTION: Kelci Brooks (volleyball), Shae Brennan (women's soccer).
