GREENSBORO, NC- Abby Lush (women's soccer) and Watcharakan Chankarn (golf) have been named this week's Greensboro College Athletes of the Week.

Lush was a key factor in helping women's soccer go 2-0 last week and break out of a long offensive scoring skid. After scoring 0 or 1 goal in each of their last nine games, Lush broke out with two second half goals on Wednesday against Mary Baldwin to rally from a 1-0 halftime deficit. Her second and game-winning goal came with less than 15 minutes remaining. On Saturday at William Peace, Lush notched the final goal in a 4-0 rout of the Pacers to give her three goals on the week (and goals in three straight games including the previous week's 1-0 win against Warren Wilson). Lush now leads the team in goals (4) and sits just outside the top 10 in the USA South.

Women's soccer travels to Buena Vista, VA to take on Southern Virginia on Wednesday before returning home for their Pink-Out match against Meredith.

Chankarn had a strong showing at the West Pines Invitational, shooting -1 for the tournament and finishing in fourth place, notching his second Top-5 of the season. After carding a +1 72 in the opening round, he shot -2 in the second round before an even-par 71 finished his tournament. In the first round, his day was highlighted by an eagle at 17, a hole he played at -4 for the tournament. Not only was it Chankarn's second Top-5 of the season (along with winning the Transylvania Invitational), it was his second straight Top-5 at West Pines, after finishing T-2 last season.

Golf travels to Florida this week for the Golfweek DIII Fall Invitational as their next-to-last tournament of the fall schedule.
