The USA South men's basketball conference tournament begins on Tuesday, and the Greensboro men's basketball team enter as the #6 seed in the tournament.
The Pride will travel to the #3 seed Southern Virginia in the first round tuesday night. The game will tip-off at 5:30 pm. Greensboro went 0-2 against SVU in the regular season, losing on January 15th, 68-55 and then again on February 4th, 90-70.Â
The Knights are ranked third in scoring offense in the USA South behind Brevard and Pfeiffer. They average 76 points per contest. The Pride come in ranked eighth in the conference at 62 points per game. However, Greensboro is at the top of the conference in scoring defense, giving up just 71 points per game.
The Knights and the Pride rank fifth and sixth respectively in total three point shots made in the conference. Both matchups between the two teams this season have been close contests throughout, while SVU has pulled away near the end both times.Â
Both teams also rank first and second in free throw percentage in the conference. One area the Knights have a distinct advantage is on the boards, as they rank first in opponent rebounds allowed and second in total team rebounds.Â

Isaiah Pruett comes into Tuesday's game with back-to-back 30 point games against Brevard and Methodist. Pruett is leading the conference in scoring at 20 points per game, while also leading the conference in minutes played, assists, assists per game.
Pfeiffer comes in as the top seed in the tournament followed by NC Wesleyan. Those two teams received a bye in the first round and will await the winners of the first round matchups. For the full men's basketball bracket, click
