MISENHEIMER, NC--Pfeiffer's baseball team jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the first inning on Sunday to conclude a three-game series hosting the Pride. Greensboro was unable to mount a comeback, mustering just three runs on eight hits in the 15-3 loss.
Alex Morales went 3-4 on the day, including a 3rd inning single down the left field line on a 3-1 count that made the score 7-2 Pfeiffer. Cam Edmonds' solo blast in the 6th inning narrowed the score to 12-3, but Pfeiffer's bats were popping all afternoon, scoring 15 runs on 16 hits. The middle of the Falcons' lineup was a thorn in the Pride's side, as Jake Brown went 3-4 with 2 RBI, Brady Parker went 3-4 with 3 RBI, and Alec Bell went 4-4 with 3 RBI.
The loss drops Greensboro to 5-9 on the year, and they look to get back in the win column as they travel to Roanoke College this Tuesday (March 22nd) at 4PM.
