Greyson Collins and
Kevon Meertins led Greensboro's men's basketbal team to a road win over Methodist on Saturday afternoon (February 5). The Pride would hang on to win a hard-fought 72-66 victory. Collins had a game-high 21 points and Meertins' 14 point effort paced the Greensboro offense.
Methodist jumped out to a 18-6 lead, but
Ty Hill's fastbreak layup with 8:19 left in the first half started a 16-6 Pride run to end the half. In the second half,
Greyson Collins hit a 3-point basket with 7:47 remaining that capped off an 11-0 Greensboro run to put the Pride ahead at 50-39.
The Pride would hang on to win 72-66, improving to 9-12 on the season, and they will next play at Averett on Tuesday (February 8) at 7:00 PM.
