ROCKY MOUNT, NC
The Greensboro College women's basketball team extended its winning streak to nine games on Sunday afternoon (January 23), traveling to NC Wesleyan. The Pride jumped all over the Bishops from the start.  They led 20-7 just eight minutes into the game after Junior GuardÂ
Ta'Keria Legette made a steal and went for a quick layup at the 2:03 mark of the first quarter. The second period saw the Pride extend its lead to 22 after Freshman Guard
Lauren Livingston hit a jumper with 2:04 left in the first half. Greensboro would go on to lead 39-19 at the break.
Pride Sophomore Forward
Quadijah Moore asserted herself on both ends of the floor, putting in a game high 20 points to go along with nine rebounds. Her 3-point basket with 2:25 remaining in the 3rd period stopped a Bishop run and put Greensboro back up by 18. Junior
Karli Mason joined Livingston, Moore, and Legette to reach double figures in points. Â
NC Wesleyan's squad was led by Kayla Johnson's 19 points, but the Bishops couldn't find an answer to Greensboro's defensive intensity and managed only 19-61 (31%) from the field.
The Pride looks to make it 10 wins in a row as they host Methodist University at Hanes Gym this Wednesday, January 26. Tip off is scheduled for 6:00 PM.
