LAKE MYRTLE, Fla. – The Greensboro College baseball team suffered a 12-2 setback against the Nitty Lions of Penn-State Abington Thursday to close out their spring break trip.
Penn-State Abington took a 4-0 lead into the top half of the fourth inning when
Tyler Price hit a RBI single to score
Jimmy Short, cutting the deficit to three runs.
However, the Lions would then score the game's next seven runs before Greensboro got one final run in the seventh inning on a Short single, before falling by the 10-run margin.
Short and
Jacob Rodriguez each finished with a team-high three hits in the loss, while Price added two hits.
Willis Booth pitched the first four innings for Greensboro and took the loss, while
Matthew Yates,
Kamren Keim and Zach Brannon also saw time on the mound.
