2017: Appeared in 33 games, while making 33 starts as a junior. Batted .303 in 119 at-bats with 36 hits, six doubles, four triples, two home runs, 17 RBI and 20 runs scored.

Short played baseball and football while at Bentonville High.  During his four years there he earned All-Conference in football one year.
