STAUNTON, Va. – Lory Galdamez recorded her first career hat-trick as the Greensboro College women's soccer team torched Mary Baldwin University Saturday, 14-0.
Samara Alba scored twice to give the Pride (5-2, 1-2 USA South) a two goal lead just ten minutes into the contest.
Five minutes later,
Lauren Greeson scored her first of two goals on the day to extend the margin to three goals.
Galdamez then scored three times, while
Mercedes Fisher,
Devin D'Agostin, and
Gabbriele Edinger scored once to give the Pride a nine-goal halftime lead.
Samantha Lopez,
Anna Rae Porcelli,
Carleigh Roach,
Hannah Stiles, and Greeson each found the net in the second half to secure the 14-goal victory.
"Today was a total team effort as everyone contributed," Head Coach
Gus Mota said. "We are looking forward to our game against Ferrum tomorrow."
Porcelli,
Alexa Rehling, Lopez, Alba, and D'Agostin each had one assists.
Brittany Morrison picked up the victory in goal after playing the opening half, while
Taylor Horner appeared in goal for the final 45 minutes.
