GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Greensboro College women's soccer team dropped its regular-season finale to Methodist University Sunday, 2-0.
The Monarchs (8-5-2, 8-2-2) scored the game's first goal in the 29
th minute before tallying their final goal in the 87
th minute.
Greensboro (9-6-3, 5-6-3 USA South) had several opportunities to find the equalizer but could not capitalize.
"I was really happy with the way the girls battled today," Head Coach
Gus Mota. "To play two games back-to-back is very tough in the game of soccer.
"We are looking forward to opening the conference tournament Wednesday."
Caitlyn Cook and
Anna Rae Porcelli each had one shot on goal for Greensboro. Despite recording six saves in goal,
Brittany Morrison took the loss.
