GREENSBORO, N.C – The Greensboro College women's soccer team fought hard to a draw against N.C. Wesleyan on senior day Saturday, 0-0.
Both the Pride (9-5-3, 5-5-3 USA South) and the Bishops (9-5-2, 8-4-1 USA South) created chances in the contest but was not able to break the scoreless tie.
The Pride trailed in the total shots category, 13-8, but held a 5-4 advantage in shots on goal.
Brittany Morrison recorded four saves for the Pride, while
Anna Rae Porcelli had a team-high two shots on goal.
"I am really proud of the girls for the way they played and battled today in such an emotional day for our seniors," Head Coach
Gus Mota said, "I would like to thank our seniors for their hard work and dedication to their school and teammates.
"They will be missed, and I wish them all the best!"
