RALEIGH, N.C. – The Greensboro College women's soccer team suffered their second loss of the weekend Sunday, falling to Meredith College, 1-0.
The Pride (9-5-2, 5-5-2 USA South) allowed a goal to the Avenging Angels (8-5-0, 7-3 USA South) in the 69
th minute and were unable to get a goal of their own.
Mercedes Fisher,
Devin D'Agostin,
Caitlyn Cook, and
Lauren Greeson all had one shot each.
Brittany Morrison took the loss in goal despite making five saves.
"Proud of the girls," Head Coach
Gus Mota said, "It was one of those games were we did everything well enough to win, but couldn't capitalize on our opportunities. We are looking forward to this week of practice."
The Pride will be back in action when N.C. Wesleyan travels to Pride Field on Saturday. Kickoff is at 4 p.m. The Pride will have their senior day on Saturday as well, when they honor seniors
