GREENSBORO, N.C. — Greensboro College volleyball (13-2) defeated Sweet Briar (0-12) 3-0 (25-8, 25-9, 25-14) on Saturday at Hanes Gymnasium. The Pride finished with 19 service aces and held Sweet Briar to eight kills and a -.092 hitting percentage.

The Pride finished with 19 service aces to Sweet Briar's six and hit .286 with 32 kills, while Sweet Briar had eight kills and a -.092 hitting percentage. The Pride also produced extended point runs in each set, including a 13-0 run in the opening set and an 8-0 run in the second.
The Pride broke open the first set with a 13-0 run from 9-4 to 22-4, including 12 straight service points with
Grace Young serving. Young had four aces during the stretch, while the Pride also got kills from
Larkin Baxley,
Payton Wright,
Kinlin Hulin and
Enjoli Allen.
Payton Bell and
Payton Shiflet added late kills as the Pride finished the set 25-8.
The Pride turned a 12-7 edge into a 20-7 cushion with an 8-0 run in the second set, with
Emory Johnson serving three aces during that stretch. The Pride also got late service pressure from
Breckyn Bahr, who served back-to-back aces before the Pride finished off the set, 25-9.
The Pride moved in front early in the third set, using kills from
Dilynn Norris and Hulin and a Baxley service ace to build a 5-3 lead. The Pride later stretched an 8-5 edge to 14-5, with Young serving through five straight points that included kills by Allen,
Kayla Yonker and Hulin plus a Young ace. The Pride closed the set 25-14.
