GREENSBORO, N.C. — Greensboro College volleyball (14-2, 5-1) defeated Pfeiffer (2-11, 1-5) 3-0 (25-23, 25-15, 25-20) on Wednesday. Greensboro finished with a 36-31 edge in kills, hit .182 and limited Pfeiffer to a .059 hitting percentage.

Greensboro finished with the stronger attacking profile, hitting .182 to Pfeiffer's .059 while recording more kills, 36-31, and more total blocks, 11-5. Greensboro also had 57 digs to Pfeiffer's 45 and committed three service errors compared with seven for Pfeiffer, with a 7-0 run after trailing 17-15 in the third set moving Greensboro ahead 22-17. The team has achieved at least seven service aces in four consecutive games.
Greensboro answered an 8-7 deficit with a push to 12-9, with
Grace Young serving two aces and
Abigail Leo adding a block during that stretch. After Pfeiffer tied the set at 22, Greensboro reached set point on a
Dilynn Norris block and finished the 25-23 set win on
Payton Shiflet's kill from
Larkin Baxley.
Greensboro built a 10-5 lead in the second set with four straight points on
Emory Johnson's serve, getting kills from Baxley and
Payton Wright before Leo and Baxley combined on a block.
Madison Bozarth later served an ace as Greensboro pushed the margin to 19-10, and the home side finished the set 25-15 on a Shiflet kill from Johnson.
Greensboro turned a 17-15 deficit into a 22-17 lead with seven straight points in the third set. Baxley tied it with a kill, Bozarth added a service ace during the run, and Wright had two kills to help push Greensboro in front. Greensboro finished the set 25-20 on a Baxley kill.
