The 25th annual Soup Bowl is just days away, as Greensboro College football plays host to Guilford College at Pride Field September 5 at 6:00 pm. Both schools' Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will once again partner to collect canned food that goes towards each school's local charity of choice. For Greensboro College, the cans collected will go to the campus' Pride Pantry.

Fans are encouraged to bring canned food to the game as they enter the gates. Each school will have a collection area, so fans of each team can drop their donations off at their school's location. Greensboro College's food drop-off will be at both gates on College Place, as well as Main Circle. Guilford College's collection will be at the gate closest to McGee Street.

Food Lion is also a partner in the annual canned food collection for the Soup Bowl, as they will donate a $1,000 gift card to both Guilford College and Greensboro College. Two local Food Lion store managers will present the schools with their gift cards during a special halftime presentation.
