High Point, NC - Greensboro College Baseball (7-7) hosted Maryville (9-5) in the final game of the Triad Invite on Sunday and fell 14-1.
It was a pitchers' dual for the first six innings, as both
Austin Federspiel and Scots starter Titus Torbett were both excellent on the mound. Federspiel went 5.0 innings, giving up just 2 hits and 1 run for the Pride.
Maryville would break the game open in the seventh, as they scored 8 runs to take a 10-1 lead. They then scored 4 more runs in the eighth to run away with the game.
At the plate,
Austen Townsend,
Brayden Sands, and
Luke Neubauer all had 2 hits each. Sands had the lone Greensboro RBI.
