Misenheimer, NC - Greensboro College Baseball dropped the series opener to Pfeiffer by a final score of 12-2 on Friday evening.
Pfeiffer got on the board early and continued to build their lead with multiple big innings, creating separation midway through the game. Greensboro finished with nine hits but struggled to capitalize in key moments, leaving eight runners on base.Â
The Pride broke through in the eighth inning, scoring two runs to get on the board late.Â
Carson Herod led the offensive effort, going 2-4 with an RBI.
Brayden Sands and
Jacob Severson each added two hits, while
Trevor Testerman also turned in a solid 2-3 performance at the plate.Â
Michael Richards (3-2) was charged with the loss, throwing four innings and allowing four runs on eight hits while striking out two.
