Buena Vista, VA - Greensboro College Men's Basketball (7-11, 3-4) played their first game since January 23 on Tuesday night as they traveled to Southern Virginia (12-7, 8-1). The Pride would fall 88-70 in their second loss of the season to the Knights.
Southern Virginia controlled the game from the jump. After Greensboro took a 5-4 lead early in the first half, the Knights retook the lead shortly thereafter and wouldn't relinquish it again.
Quamir Ingram was the leading scorer for the Pride, dropping 18 points while collecting 4 rebounds.
DJ Jackson scored 12 points, while
Jeremiah Howard led the team in rebounds with 6.
Greensboro shot 41% from the floor for the game and 4-16 from long range.Â
Notes:
- The Pride have now lost their last 5 games against the Knights.
- Ingram's 18 points is the third most he has scored in a game this season.
