Greensboro, NC - It was a successful Senior Day for Greensboro College Women's Basketball (10-15, 7-11) as they took down Salem College (4-18, 1-17) on Saturday afternoon 69-60.
The game was tight throughout, as the Spirits threw everything they had at the Pride. Greensboro led 15-13 after the first quarter, and then went on a 20-10 run in the second to take a 35-23 lead at halftime.
Salem came out strong in the third and cut the deficit to 43-43 heading into the fourth. Greensboro built the lead back up to 10 points on multiple occasions in the fourth, but with 43 seconds remaining, Salem found themselves down just 4 points.Â

Taya Phelps hit a huge three-pointer to put the game out of reach. Phelps scored 7 points on the night.Â
Tatum Bradford had a team high 17 points on 6-14 shooting.
Kensly Stewart had 14 points and 7 rebounds.
Ary Ingram led the team in rebounds with 9.
With the win, Greensboro is the #6 seed in the conference tournament and will travel to NC Wesleyan on Tuesday for a 7:00 pm tip. Greensboro split the regular season series with the Bishops.
Notes:
- Stewart finishes the regular season in fifth place for points per game in the conference with 14.1. She also leads the conference in steals with 98.
- Greensboro finishes the regular season second in the conference in points per game at 70.8.
