Rocky Mount, NC - Greensboro College Women's Basketball (10-16, 7-11) traveled to NC Wesleyan (15-10, 12-6) for the first round of the USA South Conference Tournament on Tuesday and fell 91-69.
It was a strong start to the game for Greensboro as they led 19-14 after the first quarter. However, the Bishops put up 30 second quarter points and jumped out to a 44-34 lead at the half.
The teams played close in the third, but NC Wesleyan again went on a big run in the fourth to pull away.
Kensly Stewart scored 19 points for Greensboro and hit 4 three-pointers.
Tatum Bradford scored 9 points and had 6 rebounds.
As a team, Greensboro shot 32% from the floor and hit 9 three-point shots. However, they went just 9-24 from the free throw line.
