Greensboro, NC - In their annual cross-town rivalry game, the Greensboro College Men's Lacrosse team (3-0) took on Guilford College (0-2) on Wednesday and took down the Quakers 26-9.
It was all Greensboro from the start, as they scored the first 6 goals to go ahead 6-0 after the first quarter. They scored the first 3 goals of the second period to go up 9-0 as the route was on.
The Pride scored 5 goals in the second to lead 11-2 at halftime. In the third, the offense exploded for 10 goals, and scored 5 more in the fourth.Â
Seth Woods and
Justin Barry stole the show, as Woods scored 7 goals while Barry scored 6.
Alex Mattoon scored 5 goals with 6 ground balls. Woods led the team with 6 assists to total 13 points, which is a new career high.
Quinton Solomon had 11 ground balls to lead the Pride while Riley Taff had 3 caused turnovers.
Braeden Mitchell earned the win in goal, totaling 9 saves.

- Greensboro's 26 goals is the most they have scored in a game since 2/29/2023 when they scored 29 against Warren Wilson.
- This is the first win against Guilford since 2/15/2022.
- Woods and Barry each have 15 goals in 3 games this season.
