Asheboro, NC - Greensboro College Baseball (2-0) earned their second win of the season against Washington & Lee (0-2) on Saturday night 5-4 behind a strong performance from freshman pitcher
Isaiah Ralls.
Ralls, from Spartanburg, SC, got his first career start and went 5.0 innings, giving up 3 hits, 1 run, and striking out 4. The bullpen also pitched well, as fellow freshman
Austin Federspiel made his Greensboro debut and
Garrett Brust earned the save.
The Generals scored first in the first inning, but the Pride responded with a run of their own in the bottom half of the inning to tie the game 1-1.
Christian Glaze then hit a two-run double in the second to give the Pride a 3-1 advantage.
Freshmen

Destin Matthews each drove in their first runs of their careers later to make the score 5-1. After a three-run eighth inning from Washington & Lee, Brust slammed the door shut in the ninth to secure the win.
