Baseball Takes Opening Day Win Over Washington & Lee 8-4

Asheboro, NC - Greensboro College Baseball (1-0) hosted Washington & Lee (0-1) on Friday afternoon for Opening Day at McCrary Park. The Pride earned an 8-4 victory behind a strong 6.0 innings from Michael Richards and 3 home runs by the offense.

After the Generals took another lead, this time 4-3, Alex Vazquez hit a 2-run double to put the Pride back ahead in the sixth. Three more insurance runs came home in the bottom of the eighth inning, and Matthew Nelson slammed the door on the Generals' offense to secure the win.
