The Greensboro College men's basketball team has been picked to finish second in the newly released USA South preseason poll. The Pride come in to the new season off a USA South Tournament berth last season in head coach Michael McDuffie's first full season leading the program.

The Pride also got one first place vote in the polling. NC Wesleyan was picked first place after winning the conference tournament last year. Greensboro returns many key players to the team as well as talented transfers. First Team All-Conference selection DJ Jackson returns for his senior season along with fellow senior Nygie Stroman. Will Gray also returns as does Quamir Ingram, creating a talented and experienced back court for the Pride.

Key transfers such as Elijah Cathcart Jakobe Reed, and Jordan Weaver add to the impressive depth and talent of the team. Greensboro will get their season underway on November 11 when they host Averett University.
