Pride Fall to SVU in Home Conference Matchup

Greensboro, NC - Greensboro College Women's Basketball (4-11, 1-7) hosted Southern Virginia (12-4, 10-0) on Tuesday night and fell to the Knights 83-54. Kamdyn Lakey led Greensboro with a career-high 16 points.

Greensboro played tough in the first half, not allowing the Knights to get much momentum. SVU would lead 26-17 after the first quarter, but Greensboro reduced the Knights lead to 30-27 with 6:32 to go in the first half.

The Knights ended the half on a 16-6 run, however, and took a 46-33 lead going into halftime. Greensboro wouldn't be able to claw back in this one, as SVU took control in the third quarter and never looked back. They outscored the Pride 24-9 in the third period and 13-12 in the fourth.

Along with Lakey's 16-point night, Kinsly Stewart added 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 steals. Carrie Carr led the team in rebounding with 7.
