Greensboro, NC - Greensboro College Men's Basketball (5-10, 1-3) hosted Pfeiffer (8-8, 4-2) in a USA South contest on Saturday and fell 88-78.
DJ Jackson led Greensboro with 20 points.
Greensboro took control of the game midway through the first half when they took a 13-12 lead with 11:42 to play. From there, the Pride led the rest of the half, stifling the Falcons' offense. Pfeiffer shot just 3-11 from long range in the first half as the Pride took a 37-31 lead at halftime.
Early in the second, Greensboro stretched their lead to 9 points three different times. However, the Falcons began to close the gap as the half went on. With 9:09 to play, Pfeiffer tied the game 62-62. The teams traded points until, with 6:19 to play, Pfeiffer took the lead 67-66 and wouldn't trail again the rest of the day.
The loss drops Greensboro to 1-3 in conference play, as the Falcons improve to 4-2.
DJ Jackson turned in another strong performance, scoring 20 points with 6 rebounds and 3 blocked shots.
Quamir Ingram scored 19 points, while
EJ Sutton had a career high 10 rebounds.Â

- With his 20 points, Jackson surpassed the 500 career point mark.
- Ingram's 19 points is the most he has scored in a game since his 48-point night at Oglethorpe on 11/25.
- Greensboro outscored Pfeiffer in the paint, 48-36.
- The Pride have now lost three straight against Pfeiffer, with their last win coming 2/22/2024.
