Rocky Mount, NC - Greensboro College Men's Basketball (5-8, 1-1) traveled to NC Wesleyan (11-3, 3-0) for their second conference game of the season on Saturday and fell 77-62.
It was a low scoring affair through most of the first half. With 5:20 to play in the half, the Bishops led 23-19. They would then go on a 15-2 run to end the half and take a 17-point lead before the halftime break.
Greensboro wouldn't be able to overcome that late first half run despite outscoring NC Wesleyan in the second half. They could only shrink the deficit to 14 points late in the game as the Bishops maintained control and earned the victory.
Greensboro could only muster a 38% shooting percentage for the game and went just 4-21 from long range.
DJ Jackson led the team in scoring with 16 points, followed by
Jalen Thorns with 13.Â
