Greensboro, NC - Greensboro Men's Soccer (4-1-2) took on Columbia College (1-1) on Wednesday at Pride Field and earned a 3-1 victory.
The Pride got on the scoreboard early when
Gustav Ohman scored on a header from a corner kick by
Sergio Garcia-Barrios. The goal was Ohman's 4th of the season.
Just over a minute later, the Koalas scored an own goal to give Greensboro a 2-0 advantage just 6 minutes into the game. Columbia College would trim the lead to 2-1 before the half, as Greensboro was given a yellow card on a foul in the box, and a penalty kick by Matthias Dennis cut the Pride lead in half.
In the 68th minute,
Alias Goldsberry scored his first goal in his collegiate career to extend the lead to 3-1. Greensboro would keep that 3-1 lead the rest of the contest to earn their 4th win of the season.
Greensboro will travel to LaGrange College for their next match on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 4:00 pm.
